Classic glory for Silent Night

15 June 2020 16:44

The Patrick Wahl-trained Silent Night triumphed in the Swedish 1000 Guineas at Bro Park in Stockholm on 14 June.

Silent Night made the Swedish 1000 Guineas (1,600m turf) look like a walk in the park. The impressive display resulted in a fifth career victory for the filly, who also finished runner-up in the Listed Meydan Classic in February.

The talented filly, by Night Of Thunder and out of the Dynaformer mare Raihaana, was purchased in utero at Goffs November Breeding Stock sale in 2016 by Rävdansens Stuteri.

Silent Night is trained at Bro Park by top Swedish handler Patrick Wahl and was ridden to victory by Carlos Lopez. She is owned by the Stall Dömle-Easy syndicate.

The connections said that the Norwegian Oaks is the next target for Silent Night, who also is likely to travel back to Meydan for the 2021 Dubai World Cup Carnival.
